    Duck River Essay Winner

    Cornersville Elementary School 5th grader Brooklyn Burns has been named the Duck River Watershed Education Program essay winner. All Marshall County 5th graders attended the Duck River Watershed Education Day in October at Henry Horton State Park and then were asked to write an essay on what they learned. She is pictured with Friends of Henry Horton State Park members (L-R) Chuck Holland, Suzie Comstock, Stacey Cothran, and park ranger Jesse Jewell who were on hand for the pizza party she earned for her classmates.
